The Medical Laboratory Technician, under the general supervision of a Supervisor, Medical Laboratory Scientist, Lead Medical Laboratory Scientist or Charge Tech, is responsible for the proper performance of all laboratory procedures and reporting of test results.

The Medical Laboratory Technician's responsibilities may include receiving specimens, verifying proper patient identification, and verifying specimen acceptability.
