The Mary Campbell Center is first, last, and always, home to 68 residents.

The Environmental Services Director is responsible with a high degree of quality in a truly homelike environment in which MCC residents live with respect, personal dignity, and independence to the fullness of their abilities.

The Environmental Services Director will work reliably, effectively, efficiently, and with respect for residents, staff, families, volunteers, professional consultants, and the physical environment of The Center, while adhering to the MCC Guiding Principles and Mission.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

The Environmental Services Director at the Mary Campbell Center must 1) be a good person of high character who consistently works with a positive attitude and demonstrates compassion and understanding for residents with varying degrees of disability, and 2) The Environmental Services Director must have the ability to work independently with little supervision to lead the housekeeping, laundry and all environmental services.

The Environmental Services Director must have the ability to effectively work on multiple tasks simultaneously and work an assigned schedule which will include weekend manager on duty and departmental coverage as needed.

The Environmental Services Director must have a bachelor's degree or 5 years' experience in a leadership role. Must have excellent customer service skills and experience. Experience with Federal and State healthcare surveys. Experience in budgeting. Must be 21 years of age or older.

In addition, he/she should possess verbal and written communication skills, and proficiency in utilizing technology tools to manage program reporting and achieve department goals.

Previous successful experience working with those with disabilities and/or in a rehabilitative setting is preferred.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  • Ability to plan, organize, direct, coordinate and supervise the activities of the department.
  • Ability to mentor and lead the team.
  • Ability to interview, hire, train, and support staff.
  • Encourage professional development for the team.
  • Complete team member reviews on time.
  • Maintain excellent resident and staff relationships.
  • Manage ordering process while remaining within budget.
  • Be always survey ready.
  • Follow all policies and procedures.
  • Update policies and procedures as well as review annually.
  • Always work towards process improvement.
  • Manage budget throughout the year and prepare annual departmental budget.
  • Complete daily walk throughs of the community.
  • Participate in committees such as QAPI, policies and procedures and etc.
  • Complete QAPI audits weekly, monthly, and quarterly.
  • Other duties as assigned.
