- and moderate-income households. Utilizing the efficiencies of off-site construction and modular design, IH is rapidly growing and developing workforce housing in San Diego and Los Angeles. IH's iManufacture company is recruiting for an Inventory Specialist


Working with IH's multi-disciplinary development, manufacturing, and construction team, Inventory Control Specialist, oversees the ordering, storing, receiving, and distributing processes of an organization's products and supplies.

Their main duties include controlling the flow of supplies and equipment, tracking, and analyzing inventory maintenance, and developing protocols for loss mitigation.


POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Responsibilities for Inventory Control Specialist

  • Supervise, oversee, and plan every activity that relates to inventory control in the organization or warehouse environment.
  • See to proper inventory to ensure customers' demands are met in the most efficient manner obtainable.
  • Work directly with management to bring them up to date regarding stock inflow and outflow.
  • Develop actions plans and strategies going forward to optimize inventory.
  • Work closely with other team members in operations to resolve inventory related issues.
  • Communicate effectively and with a sense of urgency across all departments in the plant related to inventory issues.
  • Staging product for installation team along with routine replenishment of installation parts.
  • Must be flexibility with schedule to support company goals.
  • Communicate cycle count to Team Lead and Supervisor
  • Effective managing, storing and labeling of inventory.
  • Implement lean principles as they relate to inventory management.
  • Responsible for identification of parts (PN, date/PO/JO) isolated in MRB.
  • Ensures inventory accuracy and inventory control.
  • Help prepare for and take part in all physical inventories as scheduled by the company.
  • Initiate policy changes regarding inventory in the company
  • Problem Solving in the warehouse inventory system and execute necessary improvements towards better business performance, which centers on customer satisfaction.
  • Perform managerial functions, including retraining members of staff of the warehouse if necessary.

Education:


  • Combination of experience and or/degree associated with inventory management.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and inventory management systems
  • Minimum of two years of experience in creating shipping and receiving documentation
  • Able to manage multiple priorities, work efficiently under pressure, and consistently meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to process statistical data and create an action plan.
  • Minimum of one year of experience within an ISO/AS qualitycontrolled environment
  • Minimum of one year of data entry experience within a warehouse, inventory, or manufacturing environment
  • Prior inventory control and ERP systems experience
  • Physical Strength: Capable of lifting heavy items, up to 50 lbs., for extended periods during inventory handling and stocking.
Work Authorization

  • All prospective Impact Housing employees need to demonstrate eligibility to work in the U.S.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking
  • Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time on varied surfaces
  • Must be in good physical condition with the ability to stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, squat, and lift up to 50 lbs.; includes body weight, equipment, tools, and boxes.

Compensation:

  • Competitive hourly rate of $ $26.00 depending on experience
