The University Medical Center is a 600+ bedTertiary Care Academic Medical Center and Regional Level 1 Trauma Center withBrain & Spine Institute and a well established Breast Imagingprogram.
The Department of Radiology has 24 Diagnostic Radiology Residentsand an established Molecular/cancer imaging research program.The MedicalCenter continues to experience growth and development and expansion of theCancer, Brain and Spine, Heart Lung Vascular, Trauma, Women's and Infantsservice lines.
The group also covers 9 hospitals in beautiful EastTennessee and Southwest Virginia.Breast/Women'sImager – Youwill spend most of your time working on breast imaging rotations either in theUniversity Breast Center or various community breast centers. You canexpect doing Breast Imaging the majority of your time with not only rotation torural site breast centers where you will have to do some diagnostic radiology,but also occasional diagnostic radiology rotations. Candidate will beresponsible for interpreting mammography (including tomosynthesis), breast US,Breast MR and performing all related Breast interventional procedures and mustbe comfortable with general radiology. Flexible position parameters areoffered including an employed opportunity working Monday – Friday, 8-5pm withno weekend, evening or overnight responsibilities or Partnership track positionwhich includes Diagnostic Radiology call of 1:5 weekends.
