Duties and Responsibilities:
Operation of cold, band, chop, panel & miter saws
MUST be able to ACCURATELY read a tape measurement & set up saw stops
Verify setting by measuring positions, first run cut verification of all parts
Operation of belt sanders & palm sanders
PM, cleaning of saws & sanders, replacement of saw blades
Must be familiar with steel & aluminum
Keep inventory of blades, sanding belts, and spare parts
- Work_ on other shop equipment such as manual mills, press‐brake, saws, sanders, drills, etc.
Responding to quick turn‐around orders some overtime required
Performing well in a fast‐paced and team‐oriented environment
Maintain and clean equipment and _work_ area
Perform related duties as assigned
Minimum Acceptable Qualifications:
Trade school graduate, or equivalent.
2+ years of experience with saws and related equipment
Knowledge of shop practices and skill in using shop tools and equipment.
Ability to ACCURATELY read blueprints a PLUS
Must have reliable transportation
Sufficient strength and physical dexterity to perform related duties and responsibilities of this job, including lifting up to 75 lbs.
