    Position: Per Diem Chaplain


    Location: Santa Clarita/San Fernando Valley


    Status: Per Diem (As needed)


    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct spiritual assessments and provide emotional and spiritual support to patients and their families in accordance with their beliefs and values.
    • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to address the holistic needs of patients, ensuring the integration of spiritual care into the overall care plan.
    • Offer guidance and counseling to patients, families, and staff members during times of crisis, grief, and loss.
    • Facilitate religious rites, rituals, and sacraments as requested by patients and families.
    • Maintain thorough and confidential documentation of chaplaincy assessments, interventions, and interactions.
    **Attend IDG, every 14 days in person


    Qualifications:

    • Ordination or endorsement by a recognized religious or spiritual faith group.
    • Masters degree in divinity, theology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
    • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in providing spiritual care, preferably in a healthcare or hospice setting.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with individuals from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds.
    • Understanding of ethical considerations related to spiritual care and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.

    Requirements:

    • Availability for on-call duties as needed.
    • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for home visits.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
