The Dell Children's Medical Center Pediatric Hospitalist group APP performs 1) triage duties for all patients admitted from the DCMC ED, direct admits and infusions; This position, under the supervision of an Attending, hospital-based evidence-based guidelines and approved protocols will triage patients and staff them to their appropriate inpatient team and/or round on non-ward team patients performing all appropriate exams, submitting all appropriate orders/coordination of care and discharge.

    NP's strongly encouraged to apply if you have your Acute Care Certification

    Performs preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and patient care.
    Provides direct treatment and management of health conditions via referral to other healthcare providers or community resources.
    Counsels and educates patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources.
    Documents delivery of health care and nursing processes in accordance with specific specialty area standards and network nursing policy

    Licensure/Certification/Registration:

    Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

    Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

    Drug Enforcement Admin credentialed from the Drug Enforcement Administration preferred.
    Master's degree of Nursing required.
