- Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs and policies tailored to each project's unique requirements
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve safety protocols
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Collaborate with project teams to address and rectify any safety concerns promptly
- Provide training sessions to project teams on safety procedures, emergency response protocols, and the proper use of safety equipment
- Promote a safety-conscious culture by organizing workshops and awareness campaigns
- Lead investigations into incidents, accidents, and near-misses, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions
- Prepare and submit comprehensive incident reports to relevant stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant environmental and occupational health laws
- Develop and implement emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures and first aid protocols
- Conduct regular drills to test the effectiveness of emergency response plans
- Communicate safety policies and procedures effectively to project teams.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to integrate safety into all project phases
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Safety, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Project EHS Manager, preferably in the construction Industry.
- Professional certifications (such as OSHA, CSP, CHMM, Etc.) are highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of local and federal safety regulations
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to conduct training and deliver safety presentations effectively
- Organized and detail-oriented
