- Develop and maintain cost accounting policies, procedures, and systems to ensure accurate and timely recording of costs.
- Analyze manufacturing processes, overhead costs, and inventory levels to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Prepare and analyze product costing, including standard costs, variance analysis, and cost of goods sold (COGS) calculations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate new product proposals, pricing strategies, and capital investments from a cost perspective.
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process for manufacturing costs, ensuring alignment with company objectives and targets.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cost efficiency, production yields, and inventory management, and provide regular reporting to management.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls related to cost accounting and inventory valuation.
- Supervise and develop a team of cost accountants, providing guidance, training, and support to foster professional growth and excellence.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in cost accounting processes, systems, and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Act as a strategic business partner to senior management, offering insights and recommendations to optimize cost structures and drive profitability.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5 + years of cost accounting experience
- Manufacturing industry experience required
- 1+ years managing or supervising staff
- Must be willing to commute 5 days on-site
