The Governor's Office of Planning & Research (OPR) seeks to fill a Limited-Term, Full-Time Information Officer II position within the Office of Community Partnership and Strategic Communications.
-Limited term 12 months; may be extended up to 24 months.
***- Under the supervision of the Public Education Strategist, the Assistant Strategist (Information Officer II) will be primarily responsible for managing the day-to-day development and execution of marketing and communications campaigns that provide information to both internal and external audiences. This position and the staff supervised by this position produce marketing materials, advertisements, collateral, creative assets, social assets, written materials and media materials, as well as other materials on an as needed basis.
- This position will also be responsible for presenting content and strategy to OCPSC leadership teams, OPR leadership and the Governor's Office.
This position is eligible for telework in accordance with the OPR Telework Policy.

Working Conditions

All OPR employees must reside in California upon appointment.
OPR is located in Sacramento, directly across from the State Capitol.
- Requires being in a stationary position, consistent with office work, for extended periods.
- Standard office environment (artificial lighting, controlled temperature, etc.).
- Daily use of personal computer, office equipment, and/or telephone.
- Reasonably expected to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
- Occasional overnight travel up to 10% may be required.

- The Office of Community Partnership and Strategic Communications (OCPSC) is a $65 million state investment to formalize and leverage the infrastructure and work the state developed to support the 2020 Census and COVID19 public awareness and community engagement campaigns. The OCPSC will centralize and streamline statewide efforts to manage the state's highest priority public awareness and community outreach initiatives.
