Foreman Expectations:


As a Foreman, you play a critical role in the field management of utility construction projects, ensuring the safe and efficient execution of daily operations.

You are responsible for overseeing and coordinating utility construction projects, as well having strong leadership, technical knowledge, and a commitment to safety and quality.


This position involves organizing and supervising construction activities, adhering to company procedures, working closely with the project team, engaging in physically demanding work, and ensuring efficient and successful project completion.

  • Conducting presurveys of job locations and verify that utility locates have been performed.
  • Managing and cultivating effective customer and employee relations.
  • Analyzing and resolving work challenges, promoting a culture of problemsolving and continuous improvement.
  • Securing work sites to ensure public safety, as well as the safety of equipment and materials.
  • Identifying costsaving opportunities without compromising safety or quality.
  • Coordinating activities with other trades and subcontractors on the construction site.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
  • Performing miscellaneous duties as assigned to contribute to overall project success.

Requirements:


  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in construction are a plus.
  • DOT Medical Card and Class A or B CDL required, if operating a company vehicle.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods, with repeated lifting (up to 50 lbs.), kneeling, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
  • Indepth knowledge of utility construction methods, proper use of tools and materials, and safety practices.
  • 35 years supervisory experience in utility construction.
  • Proficient in computer skills and ability to use various software.
