Summary

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our Business Intelligence team. The Data Engineer will be responsible for architecting, building, testing, and maintaining databases and large-scale processing systems. The ideal candidate is comfortable taking ownership of the technical roadmap, highly collaborative, and a critical thinker. The person will get a chance to tackle a broad range of use cases and work with people from many areas of the company.

Duties and Responsibilities

Design and implement data pipelines for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
Construct, test, and maintain scalable architectures for data storage and processing.
Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to understand data needs and deliver solutions.
Write code using SQL and Python to meet the data needs of the business.
Optimize and troubleshoot data systems for performance and reliability.
Implement continuous improvement processes to protect, govern, automate, and scale data platform.
Implement data security and privacy best practices.
Stay current with advancements in data engineering and incorporate best practices into processes.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role for 4+ years.
Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java or Scala.
Experience in data modeling and database schemas.
Proficiency in SQL and database management.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Ability to develop visualizations utilizing Tableau or Power BI a plus.
Experience with ERP systems a plus.
Experience in Manufacturing environment preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
