    Property Risk Consulting Engineer - Houston, United States - Marsh

    The Property Risk Consulting Group works with our clients to improve their property resiliency and partners with clients and Marsh broking teams to improve placement outcomes through development of stronger risk management practices.

    Our team members serve as trusted, strategic risk advisors to our clients, working with them to make clear choices about managing risk based on risk engineering principles and data-driven insights. The importance of this has never been higher as our clients seek to manage TCOR while retaining more risk, exploring alternative risk transfer solutions, and making risk improvement investments.

    Marsh is seeking candidates for the following position based out of any U.S. office location:

    What can you expect?

    • Provide advice on risk mitigation across all property risk perils and coordinate client service independently or in combination with Marsh colleagues
    • in support of client objectives you will makes technical recommendations on design of protection systems and manage loss prevention program execution
    • Visit client sites to produce comprehensive property site evaluation reports and/or to supervise third party engineers
    • Create presentations and facilitate client and market meetings to gain consensus on risk improvement strategies.
    • Use data and analytics from Marsh proprietary systems to help clients prioritize risk improvement decisions and maximize ROI on risk capital, technology, and cybersecurity investments
    • Work with other Marsh Advisory teams to bring holistic solutions to our clients; for example our Business Continuity, Forensic Accounting and Climate Risk teams all work closely with our property risk consultants

    • Demonstrate proven experience effectively leading project teams
    • Have Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
    • Be up-to-date on industry trends, technical changes around property risk issues to improve client's risk management programs
    • Experience providing Technical Risk Assessments and the ability to communicate the findings stakeholders
    • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with experience exercising mature judgment
    • Demonstrated business development success
    • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
    • A desire to be part of an entrepreneurial, fast-paced and fun team environment

    What you need to have:

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering
    • Minimum 5 to 10 years managing large accounts
    • Highly Protected Risk background

    Marsh McLennan is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh McLennan colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one "anchor day" per week on which their full team will be together in person.

    The applicable base salary range for this role is $102,400 to $218,400.

    The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
