Description
Communicate with coaches and AD to decide what needs each team has for their upcoming season.
Communicate with the Athletic Director (AD) to set a budget for the upcoming year for each sports equipment. Come up with a list of equipment needs for each sport. Know and understand what equipment is needed for every sport.
Contact sales representatives to find equipment and uniforms needed and ask for quotes on everything needed.
Determine if new uniforms are needed and budgeted for.

Communicate with coaches on uniform designs and brands.
Design uniforms and team apparel and share the mocks with coaches and AD for approval.
Contact and communicate with sales representatives to find best possible prices on equipment and uniforms.
Ensure all necessary equipment is available when needed.
Assemble equipment that is not shipped assembled.
Communicate with the Business Office.
Sign-off and turn in all invoices for payment.
Input bills into Aspen/X2 for any student that owes equipment or uniform. Input purchase order (PO) requests for every purchase.
Actively check to see when each PO is approved so that equipment can be ordered.

Once PO is approved, place order for all equipment and uniforms needed. Communicate with coaches so that they know when equipment will be shipped.
If shipping information is available, track the shipping, know when a product arrives. Communicate and organize any returns needed. Storage and maintenance of any and all athletic equipmentManage and find secure places to store all athletic equipment.
Organize uniforms in secure areas.

Rotate storage by season so that sports in season have their equipment available to them when it is needed during the season.

Diagnose issues that happen with equipment and figure out how to get problems fixed.

Prepare for the beginning of the season for each sport. Ensure equipment is available and in working condition so that it is ready to go when needed.
Respond to and assist coaches with whatever needs they may have.
Determine any equipment and uniforms that need repair or reconditioning.
Have knowledge of any laws to stay in compliance with safety regulations.


Example:

All football helmets and shoulder pads must be reconditioned each year if worn or every two years if not worn during the first year.

Plan and organize any pickups and drop-offs of equipment being reconditioned and repaired.
Repair equipment when neededOnce uniforms are returned, the Equipment Manager washes all but football clothing in the building.
All uniforms washed in-house are folded/hung and organized for storage.


Uniforms issued and inventoried:
Communicate and schedule times for player equipment and uniform issuing. Issue uniforms to all teams.
Make a Google spreadsheet for every sport to track any equipment issued.
Share Google spreadsheet for each sport to coaches.

Contact students that owe any equipment or uniform to encourage them to return what is owed to avoid school obligation.

Collect and inventory uniforms for all sports uniforms and equipment at the end of the season.

Any other duties as required by the Athletic Director.
