The staff member must demonstrate knowledge of:

  • General office procedures
  • Proper spelling, grammar, and language
  • Written and verbal communication
  • Document and recordkeeping
  • Various filing systems, methods, and procedures

The staff member must demonstrate skills in:

  • Reading and comprehending simple instructions
  • Dealing with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Communicating effectively and professionally verbally and in writing
  • Having strong organizational skills, prioritizing work, and completing multitasks within a given time frame
  • Personal computer operation including keyboarding/typing at 45 wpm minimum.
  • Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Familiar with DSM-V and ICD10CM coding

Essential Functions:

Essential functions include the following:

  • Protect the confidentiality and integrity of the Medical Record
  • Provides clerical support to the supervisor, staff, internal and external consumers
  • Compose letters and complete forms
  • Answers and redirects phone calls
  • Data entry of information using the appropriate format and agency guidelines
  • Scanning of documents into the electronic medical record
  • Other duties may be assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
