- Ability to produce and develop design concepts into working engineering solutions.
- Produce manufacturing detail drawings incorporating limits and fits, welding symbols, geometric tolerances and surface finish.
- Produce full engineering calculations to support designs.
- Produce technical reports and documents.
- Ability to specify components/systems based on calculations and relevant practical experience.
- Interact with other engineering disciplines.
- Work as part of a design team.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing techniques and processes.
- Ability to operate both 2D and 3D design software packages.
- Working knowledge of current design/safety legislation.
- Working knowledge of designing equipment under ISO 9001 or NQA-1 Quality Assurance Programs.
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
- 1-3 years of mechanical engineering work experience.
- Experience with equipment design.
- CAD modeling experience: SolidWorks, Inventor, NX
- Experience drafting and generating Bills of Material.
- Nuclear industry experience a plus.
- Experience with calculations (FEA, stress/fatigue/vibration analysis) preferred.
- Applied knowledge of GD&T preferred.
- Project scheduling experience preferred.
- This position requires the incumbent to work with export controlled items.

- At least 1 year of experience with equipment design.
- At least 1 year of experience with CAD (SolidWorks, Inventor, NX).
- At least 1 year of post-graduate mechanical engineering experience.

Job Function:
Develop engineering solutions from concept through detail design, manufacturing, testing, installation and delivery.
