Financial Analyst Credit - Stratford, United States - Ashcroft Inc.
Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Credit Assessment: Conduct detailed analyses of credit reports, and other relevant data to evaluate the creditworthiness of customers within the assigned markets.
- Evaluate risk factors by considering market conditions, industry trends, and the customer's financial history.
- Use customer portals to download and analyze customer payment data to collect accounts receivables.
- Regularly review and update credit files to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with sales, operations, and finance teams to facilitate a smooth credit approval process.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary information and provide insights on credit policies and procedures.
- Identify and report potential risks to Credit and Collection Manager, proposing solutions to mitigate those risks.
- Manage EPC accounts, taking into account specific T&C's and invoicing requirements.
- Collection of accounts receivable for National account customers.
- Perform review and analysis on past due receivables and implement actions.
- Process PayPal transaction requests.
- Manage cash in advance accounts, new and existing, international and domestic.
- Manage wire payment reporting including providing wire payment remittance support to Cash Application Specialist.
- Perform special projects as identified by Manager of Credit and Collections and CFO.
- Act as backup for credit card payment processing.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 24 years of experience in credit and collections or a related field, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Experience in analyzing and evaluating credit for manufacturing customers is highly desirable.
- Experience with collections in a global company.
- Proficiency in customer portals for collections.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detailoriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent computer skills including MS Excel and ERP systems.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to credit and collections.
- Knowledge of manufacturing industry financial practices and market conditions.
