Pacific Hearing Service Patient Care Coordinator Job Description

The opportunity:


Do you have a desire to work for an inspired private audiology practice working to make a difference in the world? Are you excited about honing your people and technical skills and in creating an exceptional patient experience in a medical field? We are seeking an independent person who likes a wide variety of responsibilities, including answering patient queries, attending the phone, and helping patients be successful with their hearing aids.

Will also work directly with the audiology staff in various hands-on administrative efforts with the opportunity to assist with our nonprofit work both locally and globally.

As a vital member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in growing our practice and spreading the gift of hearing.

Our organization believes in promoting from within and we strongly encourage training, development and ongoing learning. Because of that, the front desk professional is the beginning position for all administrative opportunities and audiology assistants. Please note the person who accepts this job may be asked to work in our Los Altos office either part-time or to transition to that office full time.

Flexibility regarding location is required.


Your Strengths:


  • Great communicator works well with team members, patients and vendors
  • Ability to learn technical skills, such as cleaning hearing aids and using our office management system
  • Detailoriented and comfortable working in a busy front office with tasks which include answering phones, assisting patients, cleaning and troubleshooting hearing aids, scheduling, and selling supplies
  • Exceptional patient care
  • Organized
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn through continuing education, workshops, and possibly travel.

What You'll be Doing

  • Answering multiple phone lines, scheduling patients, and handling several patient appointments simultaneously
  • Working with hearing aid manufacturers to process orders, repairs, and returns, as well as making sure orders are in house for patient appointments.
  • Working with outside providers and their staff to give the best possible care to patients
  • Ongoing side projects
  • Helping with troubleshooting and cleaning hearing aids (training provided)

Your Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Willingness to embrace our culture and core values
  • Keen to learn new skills and technology as needed
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office and ability to learn industryspecific software
  • Willingness to be vaccinated against COVID 19 if you have not already been
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends is preferred but not required

Pay:
$ $29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
