Your tasks:

  • Understanding the task and initial situation
  • Requirement analysis for modeling micro-friction in connectors
  • Research on micro-friction models and evaluation of their suitability for connectors
  • Selection of a suitable FE modeling strategy
  • Possible implementation of micro-friction models in exemplary FE models
  • Parameter determination for selected contacts on existing test benches
  • Evaluation of the selected FE modeling strategy on suitable practical examples
  • Derivation of further action needs
  • Documentation of work

Your profile:

  • Studies in the field of modeling and numerical simulation, mechanical engineering, vehicle engineering, physics or similar fields
  • Experience with Ansys Workbench, Matlab and Python
  • Knowledge of the finite element method, measurement technology and dynamics
  • Independent and reliable working style
  • Enjoyment of implementing new concepts and ideas
