Overview:
Duties:
- Review and verify accuracy of billing data and revise any errors
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies
- Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe
- Utilize medical collection strategies to minimize accounts receivable
- Communicate with insurance companies regarding claim denials or underpayments
- Maintain patient billing records and respond to patient inquiries regarding billing issues
- Stay updated on industry changes in regulations and coding practices
- Posting insurance payments
- Obtaining prior authorizations
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in medical terminology, ICD10, DRG, and medical coding systems
- Experience with medical records management and electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Strong knowledge of medical billing procedures and guidelines
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
Pay:
$ $19.00 per hour

- ICD10: 1 year (preferred)
Ability to Commute:
- Valparaiso, IN required)
Ability to Relocate:
- Valparaiso, IN 46383: Relocate before starting work (required)
