Reports to:
Chief Accounting Officer***
Education requirements:
  • Associate or Bachelor Degree in Accounting required.

Experience or Skill requirements:


  • Prior accounting experience preferred.
  • Prior management experience preferred.

Duties:


  • This employee's primary responsibility is to understand the accounting framework of the company, and assist with and review/ensure that all accounting tasks and reporting are performed timely and accurately.
  • Manage accounting department staff
  • Administer and enforce accounting policies and procedures
  • Lead all general ledger related projects
  • Work with other departments on general ledger integrity
  • Manage Day 2 accounting of loan valuation adjustments
  • Provide support to Financial Reporting including accompanying financial footnotes
  • Responsible for the accounting entries of the parent company and nonbank subsidiaries and performing consolidation duties at month end and quarter end
  • Oversee the company's accounts payable function
  • Approve material accounts payable invoices
  • Coordinate and oversee journal entry approval in the company's core processing system
  • Assist with audit and regulatory requests for information
  • Other duties as assigned
