Chief Accounting Officer***
Education requirements:
- Associate or Bachelor Degree in Accounting required.
Experience or Skill requirements:
- Prior accounting experience preferred.
- Prior management experience preferred.
Duties:
- This employee's primary responsibility is to understand the accounting framework of the company, and assist with and review/ensure that all accounting tasks and reporting are performed timely and accurately.
- Manage accounting department staff
- Administer and enforce accounting policies and procedures
- Lead all general ledger related projects
- Work with other departments on general ledger integrity
- Manage Day 2 accounting of loan valuation adjustments
- Provide support to Financial Reporting including accompanying financial footnotes
- Responsible for the accounting entries of the parent company and nonbank subsidiaries and performing consolidation duties at month end and quarter end
- Oversee the company's accounts payable function
- Approve material accounts payable invoices
- Coordinate and oversee journal entry approval in the company's core processing system
- Assist with audit and regulatory requests for information
- Other duties as assigned
