- Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve product quality, reduce costs, and increase overall efficiency.
- Conduct process design, development, and validation activities for new and existing products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Production, Quality Assurance, and Research & Development, to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions.
- Identify areas for process improvements and lead initiatives to drive continuous improvement.
- Analyze production data and implement statistical process control (SPC) methods to monitor and improve process capability.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation, including process flow diagrams, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Perform root cause analysis for process failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, safety standards, and company policies.
- Provide training and guidance to production operators and technicians on new processes and equipment.
- Education and Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 5- years plus of experience in manufacturing engineering or process engineering roles within the industry facility.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and materials.
- Proficiency in process simulation, modeling, and statistical analysis tools (e.g., MATLAB, Minitab, etc.).
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory requirements related to manufacturing operations.
- Walking and standing for extended periods.
- Frequent lifting of up to 65 pounds.
- Frequent bending, squatting, stooping, and reaching.
- Repetitive arm and upper body action and movement.
- Exposure to dust, frequent loud noise, varying temperatures in the plant.
- Occasionally climbing stairs.
