Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Accounting to join our team.
As the Director of Accounting, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, and providing strategic financial guidance to the organization.
This is a key leadership role within our company, and we are looking for someone who can drive financial success and contribute to our overall growth.
Duties:
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Conduct regular financial analysis and provide insights to senior management
- Manage the budgeting and forecasting process
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including governmental accounting standards
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies
- Lead the annual audit process and coordinate with external auditors
- Provide guidance and mentorship to accounting staff
- Stay uptodate with changes in accounting regulations and best practices
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Master's degree preferred)
- CPA certification is strongly preferred
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in financial accounting
- Strong knowledge of financial statement preparation and analysis
- Experience with financial management systems and software
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong leadership abilities with the ability to mentor and develop a team
- Knowledge of LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit)
Pay:
$92, $110,000.00 per year
