OVERVIEW
The Automated Dispensing Technician maintains inventory & performs restocks to ensure our clients have an adequate supply of medication. Additionally, they visit clients and troubleshoots problems with the automated technology. This position acts as the point of contact for the automated dispensing system.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain automated dispensing system inventory and restock on a daily basis.
  • Visit customers to troubleshoot problems and perform audits of medication as necessary.
  • Handle all automation related issues.
  • Preparation of the finished prescription product, proper labeling including cautionary and auxiliary labels, as well as other light warehouse duties.
  • Fill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently in a timely and prioritized manner, under the supervision of a pharmacist
  • Package materials and products manually
  • Assist in processing returned drugs and recycle/dispose per procedure
  • Assist in prepacking frequently ordered medications, label, and stock, as needed during low volume times
  • Assist in shipping and preparing orders for delivery
  • Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA
  • Other duties as assigned; Job duties may vary depending on business needs
  • Knowledge of Data Entry and / or IV experience is a plus
  • Perform other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications:


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in pharmacy automation (TCGRX and Dosis) preferred
  • Must be willing to travel
  • Licensed/Registered pharmacy technician required by Florida state law
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Previous pharmacy experience required (oneyear experience in longterm care preferred)
  • Good organizational skills and detailoriented
  • Basic math and analytical skills
  • Computer knowledge is a must.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
  • Ability to physically perform light lifting
  • Must be able to work various shifts and days

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, walk, crawl intermittently
  • May be necessary to work extended hours as needed
  • May lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

HOLIDAY & PTO POLICY
We provide qualifying full-time employees with 23 PTO (Paid Time Off) days annually. PTO is used for holidays, vacation, sick leave, and personal leave.

Please note we are a long-term care pharmacy open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. And schedules may change as determined by the needs of the business.
