    Description

    As a valued member of our team, you will drive a sweeper truck equipped to perform the following duties. The role requires the driver to operate the truck in a safe and efficient manner, following and adhering to all applicable Federal & State laws.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

    This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Saturday from 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, with overtime hours available at times.

    Hourly pay: $23.00-$25.00 based on experience.

    Essential Functions:
    • Drive trucks to various company sites as scheduled, safely and timely.
    • Sweep the plants, utilizing a specific path.
    • Pre and Post trip vehicle inspection.
    • Clean out the hopper after each plant.
    • Maintain the sweeper clean.
    • Maintain a high level of customer service through courteous and effective communication with dispatchers, plant management, other drivers, contractors, and customers.
    • Keep proper records and documents of daily activities.
    • Perform all duties assigned by management in a timely manner.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    Non-Essential Duties:
    • Attend safety and other training meetings as required.
    Core Competencies:
    • Effective communication skills in the English language in both written and verbal form.
    • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
    • Strong organizational skills.
    Travel Required: Yes

    Minimum Education and Experience
    • Possession of a valid unrestricted California Driver's License (Class A with doubles/triples endorsements.)
    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
    • 2-4 years of prior commercial driving experience.
