Description
For the 3-year training as a farmer at Sherwood, we offer:

Requirements for the training as a farmer:
* great interest in animals (cattle), technology, and nature
* enjoyment of physical work
* at least a good secondary school diploma
* good health

  • Class T driver's license advantageous, but not required

Training contents:
* company processes, economic relationships in the training company
* the training takes place in the plant and animal production departments (approximately 50/50)
* techniques and organization of company work, production, and marketing
* theoretical training at the Wurzen Vocational School Center (block lessons)
* inter-company courses complement and deepen the knowledge acquired in the company and at the vocational school
* courses take place at the Koellitzsch Teaching and Experimental Farm as well as at the Oberlausitz Farmers' Association in Loebau.
