    Description
    Structural Engineer


    An established A/E firm, is seeking a self-motivated Senior Structural Engineer with 5-7 years of experience in steel, concrete, masonry, and structural design .

    The new hire will work amongst a team of diverse professionals in our Engineering Division . The Structural team offers exceptional experience in the engineering of structural systems for government, industrial, and institutional facilities . This position is based in Schaumburg, IL. .


    QUALIFICATIONS:
    5 to 7 years of professional experience
    B.S. or higher in civil engineering with a focus on structural engineering
    PE certificate required . SE preferred
    Familiarity with computer software, RISA-3D, CAD, nd Revit
    Superb bility to carry out projects from initiation to completion - scheduling work, tracking progress, nd reviewing design work
    Inclination and ability for management
    Knowledge of bridges is a plus


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Design and analyze new structural systems
    Support repairs to ex i sting structural systems
    Prepare contract plans, project specifications, and construction cost estimates
    Assist with the preparation of cost proposals
