    Description

    Job Summary:
    The Project Engineer will perform and manage simple and complex analysis, design, and documentation of various structures. This will include both commercial and residential buildings of various materials including steel, wood, masonry, concrete, etc. This position will report reporting directly to a Project Manager of the Structural Department.


    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Lead design process
    • Prepare structural calculation packages for permitting
    • Design and analysis of building foundations and framing for gravity and lateral loads
    • Design shall satisfy all building code requirements while remaining economical and safe
    • Coordinate structural calculations with structural drawings prepared by Project Designer
    • Secondary duties include reviewing shop drawings, coordinating with architects and clients, responding to RFI's, reviewing soil reports, performing site visits, and preparing field reports

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Structural programs such as RISA (Floor, 3-D, Foundation, Connection), Tekla Tedds, Enercalc, Robot Structural Analysis, and Bluebeam
    • Mircosoft Word

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field required
    • Minimum (4) years experience preferred
    • Licensed Professional Engineer or Structural Engineer preferred
