Project FIND's mission is to provide low
- and moderate-income and homeless seniors with the services and support they need to enrich their lives and live independently. Today Project FIND operates three supportive housing residences that are home to about 600 people and four senior centers with over 3,000 members. Our members and residents range from the healthy and active to the frail and homebound to the homeless. For all these individuals, Project FIND is a critical resource, providing housing, meals, and programs that help individuals navigate the challenges of aging by encouraging community engagement and healthy living.

Project FIND uses E-verify to determine employment eligibility for all new hires.


Job Summary:


The Program Coordinator of Coffeehouse OAC will work jointly with the Program Director to plan, establish, and facilitate engaging programs for center members.

Also, the Program Coordinator will assist with administrative duties including data entry associated with program offerings, information and referral, and congregate meal services.


General Responsibilities:


  • Develop and conduct engaging and innovative OAC activities and programs with NYC Aging annual program deliverables.
  • Identify, establish, and maintain community partnerships/linkages with private and public program subcontractors, external organizations, and the like, and volunteers.
  • Supervise/monitor the progress of program subcontractors, community partnerships/linkages and volunteers to assess programmatic successes and challenges.
  • Assist the Program Director with the implementation and collection of participant satisfaction surveys.
  • Monitor program participation rates and perform ongoing outreach to ensure high rates of participant engagement.
  • Prepare monthly activity calendars, promotional flyers, and information materials.
  • Input program data into agency and NYC Aging database systems.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion, daily upload and organized filing of activity signin sheets, logs, and all other programrelated documents.
  • Maintain membership listserv and assist with participant registration process.
  • Attend required community, agency, and staff meetings.
  • Provide site coverage at other Project FIND OAC's when needed.
  • Perform other related job tasks as requested or assigned.

Qualifications:


  • Preferred_
  • Bachelor's degree and 1+ years of program planning or relative experience.
  • Experience working with older adults, including knowledge of the aging process and familiarity developing activities to stimulate this population.
  • Required_
  • Associate's degree and 2+ years of program planning or relative experience.
  • Experience leading/facilitating programs.
  • Excellent presentation, writing, and record keeping skills.
  • Must be able to coordinate and multitask.
  • Must be computer literate and willing to learn and use evolving programspecific software.
  • Ability to communicate in both spoken and written English.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday from 8am-4pm (35 hours per week). Please note this position requires the availability and flexibility to occasionally work some weekends and holidays.
