    Overview


    As a member of the Gogo Business Aviation Finance organization, the Inventory Accounting Supervisor performs various accounting activities per General Accepted Accounting Principles and Standards (GAAP) and Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) standards.

    This role will supervise an inventory accountant and drive accurate/timely accounting close process by meeting corporate and operational accounting objectives.

    You will work on various accounting projects and ensure that accurate, timely, and transparent accounting and reporting are delivered consistently.

    You will work closely with the Operations, Accounting, and Finance teams to identify and implement opportunities to increase efficiencies through automation and enhanced workflows while ensuring strong internal controls.

    How will you make a difference?
    Coordinate your teams' work activities with Sr. Accounting Manager, and set priorities for the team to ensure task completion
    Supervise, develop, and support team objectives and key results and ensure that all deadlines are appropriately managed
    Preparation and review of balance sheet account reconciliations and journal entries
    Ownership and review over the accounting process for Inventory, Warranty Accounting, and Cost of Equipment Revenue, among other areas
    Key member of monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities
    Perform detailed inventory transaction reviews, understanding all processes and working with Operations to ensure complete and accurate accounting of transactions
    Coordinate annual physical inventory count and support spare location counts
    Use judgment to identify, troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day technical and operational problems
    Develop and implement business process improvement initiatives around month-end close, accounting processes and procedures, and financial analysis
    Participate in internal and external audits by reviewing audit schedules, ensuring appropriate documentation, and providing evidence of controls performed
    Qualifications
    Bachelor's degree in accounting
    4-7years of relevant accounting experience with at least two years working for a publicly traded company
    0-2 years of experience
