Background:


Forestdale (FD) is a NYC child welfare agency working to prevent child abuse/neglect through parenting, prevention, and foster care (FC) services, focusing on low-income and immigrant communities in Queens & Brooklyn.

We help thousands of families work through acute & complex trauma, parents raise the next amazing generation of children, and youth successfully launch into adulthood.

FD's mission is "to ensure that children and families have the fundamental assets they need to thrive and live independently."The IT Analyst role is to support and maintain in-house computer systems, desktops, and peripherals under the direction of the IT Manager.

This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, and upgrading Microsoft Windows-based hardware and equipment.

The person will also troubleshoot other problem areas in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end user training and assistance when required.

Lastly, this person serves as the first point of contact and directs unresolved issues to the next level of support.


Salary:
$40,000 - $56,000 (Based on Education and Experience)


Desired Skills

  • Excellent technical knowledge of network and PC hardware.
  • Handson hardware troubleshooting experience.
  • Working technical knowledge of current network protocols, operating systems, and standards.
  • Ability to operate tools, components, and peripheral accessories.
  • Able to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation, and OEM guides.
  • Ability to conduct research into PC issues and products as required.
  • CompTIA certifications.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Clean, refurbish and repair computer hardware.
  • Configure and deploy desktops, laptops, tablets and cell phones for staff.
  • Assist in hardware installation and/or deinstallation.
  • Assist with regular maintenance tasks on servers.
  • Perform software and hardware installations and upgrades.
  • Assist in the setup and training of new users.
  • Other duties as assigned.
