Behavior Technician (BT)


As a Behavior Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) by implementing behavior intervention programs designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs).

Your primary responsibility will be to work directly with clients, providing one-on-one ABA therapy sessions to help develop and enhance their behavioral, social, and communication skills.

This role requires a compassionate and patient individual dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of individuals with ASD and their families.


Responsibilities:


Implementation of ABA Programs:

  • Execute behavior intervention plans developed by BCBAs.
  • Provide direct, oneonone ABA therapy to individuals with ASD. o Record and analyze behavioral data during sessions.

Assessment and Progress Monitoring:

  • Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) under the guidance of BCBAs.
  • Track and document client progress through data collection and regular reporting

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with BCBAs, other behavior technicians, and multidisciplinary team members to ensure consistency and effectiveness of intervention strategies.
  • Communicate regularly with parents/caregivers to provide updates and gather information.

Professional Development:

  • Attend regular training sessions and workshops to stay current on best practices in ABA.
  • Seek supervision and guidance from BCBAs to enhance skill development

o Maintaining Ethical Standards:

  • Adhere to ethical guidelines outlined by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Maintain confidentiality of client information

Environment Management:

  • Create a positive and supportive therapeutic environment.
  • Implement behavior management strategies to address challenging behaviors.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or a related field.
  • Completion of Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or willingness to
obtain certification.

  • Previous experience working with individuals with ASD preferred. o Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions:
