Silverstein Hebrew Academy is actively seeking a Director of Curriculum and Instruction, a dynamic individual who embodies innovation, creativity, and collaboration.
This pivotal role involves evaluating the school's curriculum to enhance student learning, guiding faculty in instructional practices and professional development, exploring suitable content for different developmental stages, researching emerging curricular models, and advising on the evolution of the school's curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with academic administration and faculty across two campuses to maintain, enhance, develop, innovate, and integrate existing and new curriculum.
- Ensure consistency and coherence in curriculum and programs across grade levels.
- Lead curriculum coordinators and grade level teams in implementing curricular units.
- Stay abreast of educational trends by actively engaging in professional activities, attending pertinent meetings and conferences, and exploring new methodologies and programs.
- Conduct classroom observations to assess teaching and learning.
- Spearhead faculty professional development initiatives in collaboration with Principals.
- Take a lead role in faculty meetings and professional development days.
- Oversee the new faculty mentor program.
- Act as a key member of the school's Academic Leadership Team, leading crucial projects and initiatives.
- Participate in curriculum meetings and assist curriculum coordinators in their preparation.
- Provide coaching to faculty on effective instructional strategies.
- Contribute to the hiring process for new faculty members.
- Cultivate positive relationships with parents, guardians, and community members to foster a sense of partnership and involvement in school activities.
- Maintain transparent and effective communication with stakeholders to address concerns, share information, and promote school initiatives.
- Conduct parent education sessions, special events, and informational sessions per grade.
- Establish and enforce behavior expectations and disciplinary procedures in accordance with school policies and regulations.
- Interview new general studies staff and hire as needed.

Pay:
$111, $119,155.00 per year
