YOUR ROLE


As a key member of the US Life Experience and Inforce team, you will help build, maintain and improve on experience models and analysis.

You will have an excellent opportunity to join a highly motivated and inclusive team responsible for providing analytical insights and experience studies to the organization.

This role will collaborate between actuarial, finance, reinsurance, risk, IT, leadership and others.


What you will be doing

  • Build, peer review, and maintain experience studies and tools
  • Analyze experience for trends, anomalies and assessing risk
  • Produce documentation of processes, analysis and reviews of results
  • Support data modernization and system migration projects
  • Proactively identify, manage and implement process improvements
  • Collaborate with other departments, creating consistent messaging and improving reconciliations
  • Modernize toolkit, building new predictive analytics while continuing to review and enhance legacy models
  • Support ad hoc requests for actuarial assistance

What you bring
Required

  • Bachelor's degree in an analytical or technical discipline
  • 3+ years relevant experience
  • Strong proficiency in a programming language such as SAS, Python, R or SQL
  • Experience with data visualization software such as Spotfire or PowerBI
  • Ability to manage concurrent deadlines and multiple priorities in an organized manner
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Selfdriven, motivated and shows ownership in tasks
Preferred

  • 5+ years relevant experience
  • Prior life insurance experience
  • Knowledge of GAAP, Statutory and Tax financial reporting requirements for term and universal life insurance
  • Understanding of experience studies and assumption setting

For the State of New York:

The base salary pay range for this role starts at a minimum rate of $84,600 up to the maximum of $139,700.

In addition to your base salary, you will also be eligible to participate in an incentive plan. The incentive plan is based on performance and the target earning opportunity is 7% of your base compensation.

The final determination on base pay for this position will be based on multiple factors at the time of this job posting including but not limited to geographic location, experience, and qualifications to ensure pay equity within the organization.
