This position will be focusing primarily on our Energy Systems line of business, which include telecommunications, IT, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), utilities and switchgear, security, emergency lighting and general electronics. Some of the reserve power brands include PowerSafe,DataSafe, and Genesis. Our extensive product range serves a variety of reserve power applications and consistently delivers the most effective, powerful and reliable batteries available.
****Job Purpose****
Manage the daily operations of the Shipping, Receiving, and Warehouse departments.
****Essential Duties and Responsibilities****
Coordinate the movement, storage, and placement of all materials at AAI Bellingham facilities
Ensure accurate and timely data entry into the ERP system of all material transactions
Ensure timely restocking and accurate inventory placement of all materials
Supervise and coordinate the preparation of materials for production work orders, vendor-managed goods, and internal requests for materials from all local Alpha Group locations
Maintain ERP inventory, locations and ensure transaction accuracy
Manage the daily and long term staffing needs
Develop and train all functional area employees
Represent the department in all inter-departmental functions related to inventory control issues and procedures
Maintain timely and accurate employee performance reviews and administer associated human resource policies
Perform periodic reporting and accounting of inventory variances, inventory accuracy, back flush logs and serial number logs
Determine space requirements and assist in the the layout of the Warehouse department to provide optimum material flow
Coordinate the activities of company truck driver
Assist in the removal and disposal of scrap materials
Provide guidance with respect to outside storage of materials, pallets and other equipment or goods
****Qualifications****
High School Diploma or equivalent
4 - 6 years experience inventory control or materials within a manufacturing environment
1-2 years supervisory experience
Well versed with MRP systems and able to understand all aspects of material transactions
Ability to interface and communicate professionally with all levels of management, production, sales, engineering
Ability to function in a fast paced, constantly changing environment
Ability to obtain forklift certification
**DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS**
Four-year college degree in business of associated field
CPIM certification
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge and use of Supply Chain Logistic Concepts
Knowledge of SAP
****General Job Requirements****
Must be able to frequently bend; twist; reach; stoop; kneel or crouch.
Must be able to lift 25 pounds/11.5 kilos on occasions.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time
This position requires working in a plant/warehouse environment. Therefore, expect varying working conditions.
