Position Summary: Obtains complete, accurate, relevant patient data for the purpose of registration for the inpatient and outpatient population.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Obtains accurate demographic information to provide for a correct medical record utilizing MPI search
Obtains appropriate consent and regulatory forms Maintains current standing orders for PT patient population Screens orders for medical necessity and communicates with physician office staff for appropriate diagnosis Locates missing orders on scheduled and walkin patient's Orders and restocks all office and refreshment supplies Faxes physician offices missing medical reports Registers all walkin patient's Notifies appropriate department with patient's arrival Actively participates in quality monitors and data collection Demonstrates exceptional customer service skills Escorts and directs pts to appropriate areas Other duties as specified by Department Manager Required Qualifications: Education and Training: High School graduate or equivalent Customer service experience 40 wpm keyboarding skills/Basic PC knowledge Medical terminologyWork Shift Details:Days, Fulltime

Primary Hours: 530a2p, 6a230p, 630a3p

Weekdays vary with weekend and holiday rotation
