Job Duties
Virginia's Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is looking for multiple service-oriented professionals to work as Customer Service Generalists in our Abingdon Customer Service Center.
If you possess strong customer service and cash/credit card handling experience, problem-solving skills, a willingness to learn, and want a career with growth opportunities, we would like to talk with you.
Job Duties Include:
- Communicating policies, procedures, and regulations
- Issuing IDs
- Administering vision, driver, and incar road tests
- Processing diverse vehicle registrations, titling, tax and fee collection, and other DMVrelated services

Minimum Qualifications
- Customer service experience working in a fastpaced environment.
- Experience using a personal computer or other automated systems.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Flexibility to work M-F and Saturday.
- Strong organizational, time management, problemsolving, and multitasking skills.
- Must have attention to detail accuracy and complete assignments on time.
- Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid VA Driver's License with a driving record that reflects a sense of responsibility for highway safety and concern for the law.
- Driving records should have a point balance of less than six demerit points and no major convictions.
- Experience working in a team or group environment.
- Can lift pounds
