    Founded in 1985, United Faith Christian Academy is a Christian college-preparatory school for children PreK-12th grade.

    For more than 38 years, UFCA has partnered with parents to educate and nurture the heart, soul, mind and body of every student—striving to inspire students to be leaders, thinkers and Christians who are confident in their faith.

    Through a smaller school environment, a qualified faculty presents a curriculum from a biblical worldview.

    UFCA has four areas of emphasis:
    Academics, Athletics, Fine Arts and Spiritual Development.

    UFCA meets a variety of student needs and prepares them with all the knowledge necessary to defend their faith and be fully prepared for the pursuit of higher education.

    Through biblical integration, UFCA ministers to and educates students in a way that develops their minds, bodies and spirits through programs in academics, athletics, fine arts and spiritual development.

    Each class and course is taught through a biblical worldview by a professional Christian educator, who cares deeply about the children in their classroom.

    UFCA believes that through real encounters with Jesus, children will experience the transformative change that only those encounters can bring.

    All programs serve to introduce children to a personal relationship with Jesus, and then to grow in the relationship through discipleship in Chapel, Advisory, Bible class, and Serve Days.

    About the Head of School:
    United Faith Academy is seeking their next Head of School.

    The Head of School (HOS) serves as the Chief Administrative Officer and reports directly to the UFCA Board as its only employee.

    The HOS supports the mission, vision, and values of the school as s/he executes the duties of the role of Head of School.

    The HOS provides leadership and outlines the strategic direction for all department heads as well as other UFCA employees.

    In addition to directing daily operations of the school, the HOS oversees the well-being of all students, the spiritual health of the school, academic standards and performance, personnel management, parental relations, community relations, program development, financial management and institutional fundraising.

    The HOS follows the strategic direction set by the Board, in compliance with established bylaws.

    The Head of School's Responsibilities Include:
    Spiritual Oversight
    Demonstrates a spiritual maturity that radiates a passion for Christ.
    Models a grace-filled, joyous, obedient life of one saved by grace.
    Exemplifies the characteristics of a servant leader.
    Enfolds students and families from a variety of church backgrounds.
    Ensures a learning environment where faith and learning are integral.
    Administrative Oversight
    Serves as the chief executive officer of the school, reporting directly to the School Board.
    Innovatively, collaboratively, and intentionally casts the vision for daily implementation of the UFCA mission, vision, and goals.
    Assists the Board in the development and implementation of a strategic plan.
    Builds and maintains a vibrant, trusting, and healthy organizational culture.
    Collaborates on advancement, marketing, and capital expenditure initiatives.

    Recruits, develops, supports, and retains exceptional administrators, teachers, and staff members aligned with the school mission, vision, and core values.

    Serves as the face and voice of UFCA at school events, with media, at fundraisers, and association meetings.

    Maintains personal contact with all school staff members, fostering good public relations, promoting high morale, and identifying personnel problems as early as possible.

    Encourages similar conduct among subordinates.
    Serves as the primary conduit for communication between UFCA staff, vendors, parents, students, and the Board.

    Attends Board meetings and provides thorough updates to help forge policies and directives that promote the mission, vision, values, and growth of UFCA.

    Consciously works to establish an atmosphere of team building and collaboration.
    Responsible for the safety and security of all the school's students and staff; oversees the safety and security plan.
    Communicates time sensitive concerns or issues to the Board Chair when communication to the full Board is not possible.
    Academic Oversight
    Serves as the Chief Academic Officer, with broad oversight of teaching and learning at UFCA.
    With the instructional leads and faculty, develop and implement the adopted curriculum, maintaining a current curriculum guide.
    Establishes, plans for, and implements the professional growth, development, and evaluation of all employees, at least annually.
    With the Leadership Team, oversees student issues of academic, social, spiritual, and disciplinary nature.
    Actively participates in the curricular and co-curricular life of the school.

    Determines standards and takes appropriate steps to measure and maintain reasonable performance and professional growth among immediate subordinates and, through them, all professional employees.

    Oversees faculty certification and licensure process and ensures performance of formal observations at least annually and as needed.
    Operational and Financial Oversight
    Administers and monitors the operating budget with prompt receipt of income and payment of bills. Provides comprehensive reporting to the Board and proactively highlights areas for opportunities or of financial concerns.
    Leads the development of an enrollment management plan and a marketing plan.
    Oversees any re-accreditation processes and scheduled audits.
    Establishes practices and procedures to promote harmonious and constructive relationships among all the school's professional staff. Consciously works to establish an atmosphere of team building and planning.
    Supervises the recruitment, admission, and inclusion of new students and families.
    Maintains communication and relationships with churches represented by the UFCA student body for possible collaborations and recruitment.
    Prepares a complete annual budget proposal for submission to the Board of Directors.

    Upon approval of the budget by the Board, ensures that available financial resources are carefully managed within the budgetary guidelines.

    This role description is intended to represent key areas of responsibilities; specific assignments may vary from time to time, and other duties may be assigned.


    What You Bring:
    A passionate love for Jesus Christ and a sense of calling to serve in educational ministries.
    Preference will be given to candidates with a Master's degree in education or equivalent.
    Preference will be given to candidates with five (5) or more years of prior relevant experience.
    Proven success with strategic planning and organizational development in a school setting.
    Ability to effectively manage and direct a diverse faculty and staff, multiple changes, multiple priorities, and tight time constraints.
    Ability to maintain a compassionate spirit with firm resolve when necessary.
    Functional knowledge of and demonstrated ability with office organization, financial management and human resource management and assessment.
    Excellent emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills.
    A pattern of providing accessible, supportive leadership including a relational and interactive approach to development of people and organizations.
    Ability to cast and communicate vision; seen as a visionary leader with experience in leading through change.
    Evidence of a passion for learning and creating an environment that encourages the creation of lifelong learners.
