On A Daily Basis, you will:_

Housekeeping Attendants are responsible for maintaining clean, comfortable rooms for our guests at our hotel. Housekeepers must check all rooms in their area every day, whether rented or vacant.

  • Clean all assigned rooms assigned which include vacuuming room, sweeping/mopping tile, changing the linen/terry on the beds and in the bathroom, restocking/replenishing all room and bath amenities, as well as anticipating the guest needs and following through with them to exceed guest satisfaction.
  • Reporting all Maintenance Items that are discovered in the room to the Head Housekeeping before the room is rented.
  • Restocking the Housekeeping Cart with linen, terry, supplies, products to help prepare for the next day.
  • Turn in any lost and found items discovered in the room to the Head Housekeeper so we can return them to the guest.
  • Do not knock on door or enter room displaying "Do Not Disturb" signs and record them on the Housekeeper Board for the Head Housekeeper to follow up with.
  • Do not clean room when occupied by the guest unless absolutely necessary. Politely suggest that the guest wait in lobby area or if you can return later to clean the room.
  • Position housekeeping carts directly in front of the open door as close as possible when cleaning rooms. This practice enables a housekeeper to hear anyone moving the cart to enter the room, and it provides an open passageway for guest to pass through the corridor.
  • Turn off all lights and A/C units in room.
  • Inspect furniture, fixtures and equipment daily. Report any problems, rips, or stains to the Head Housekeeper immediately; therefore, Maintenance Chief can repair before guest arrival.
  • Maintain control of room keys at all times. Housekeeper keys and collected room keys should be kept in the housekeepers smock until returned to front desk. Never leave keys lying on Housekeeper Carts
  • Always be on the alert for any potential safety hazards and report them to the Head Housekeeper. Each employee is a part of the hotel security team.
  • Housekeeper must be able to lift, bend, stoop and go up and down stairs. Housekeeper must be able to lift up to 30 pounds. Employee required to seek assistance if unable to lift or move an item over 30 pounds.
  • Always speak to each guest with whom you come in contact with in the hotel. Be courteous and friendly.
  • All business is to be kept confidential on and off the clock.
  • Perform all duties assigned by the Head Housekeeper or Management

Requirements_

  • We are hiring Full-Time / Part-Time either someone who wants to work 45 days a week or someone who wants 12 days a week.
  • Hours for this position are from 8:30AM to around 5P depending on how busy the day is.
