Qualifications

  • Automotive experience preferred
  • CDJR experience a plus
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Effective communication skills

Position Summary:


Plans, organizes, leads, and controls the flow of service work through the service department in a professional, timely manner while ensuring quality repairs in a manner that is consistent with Route 24 Auto Group's core philosophies, principles, and values.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Dispatch and manage workflow through Service Department to ensure shop efficiency and profitability.
  • Monitor diagnosis procedures ensuring all Technical Service Bulletins (TSB), factory diagnostic guidelines, safety campaigns as well as any other Manufacturer policies/procedures are consistently followed, to diagnose vehicles properly, accurately, and in a timely fashion.
  • Monitor all flat rate and hourly technician hours daily to ensure proper productivity goals are achieved while minimizing unapplied time and overtime expenses.
  • Monitor and ensure the Dealership follows corrective processes that are outlined in the Factory Warranty Policies and Procedures Manual.
  • Communicate with the Service Advisor if there is a time delay in any repair so they can communicate with the customer in a timely fashion.
  • Report and view all Inventory actions daily, ensuring all inventory is checked for Safety recalls, TSB's or any RRT's to ensure proper repairs are completed prior to a vehicle sale, this applies to both New and Used car inventory.
  • Communicate with Sales Management team daily to get all vehicle trades or purchases scheduled into the Service Department for proper inspection within 48 hours of taking in the trade.
  • Dispatch all Used vehicle inventory through the Used vehicle reconditioning process in a timely manner, 48 hours as stated above, so the vehicles are ready to be displayed for Sale.
  • Communicate any necessary Status updates, delays or relevant information between Service Advisors and technicians to ensure proper time expectations are communicated with the customer.
  • Review all technicians completed repair orders to ensure proper documentation, time flags, Causes, corrections, and any relevant information is recorded regarding repairs that were completed.
  • Make sure proper approval is obtained from the customer prior to starting any repairs, ensure all digital imaging requirements are conducted prior to start of any and all warranty repairs through the Manufacturer.
  • Implements a quality control process to eliminate comebacks.
  • Always practice and maintain professional communication methods with coworkers.
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction index rating at or above manufacture and market.
  • Maintain a professional appearance.
  • Keep work area clean.
