Job Description:
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for all HR functions for the organization.

This role will work closely with leadership to create policies and protocol as the company grows while maintaining compliance with local and federal labor laws.

The Human Resources Manager will also be the first point of contact for benefits, payroll, and other personnel related issues.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of human resources for the organization including recruiting, benefits, compensation, training and development, employee relations, policy creation and compliance, etc.
  • Develop and outline company policies with the leadership team, including employee handbook revisions when necessary
  • Maintain uptodate knowledge of Federal/California labor laws and update company policies to remain in compliance
  • Handle the entire recruiting cycle: Sourcing/recruiting, interviewing, selection, onboarding/orientation, training, and offboarding
  • Develop and carry out employee recognition events and other company wide events throughout the year
  • Administer multiple biweekly payrolls for all employees
  • Maintain company benefit records within thirdparty online portals
  • Work alongside leadership to form competitive benefits packages
  • Act as the main point of contact for all inquiries related to payroll, benefits, and other personnel related matters
  • Consistently update the HRIS with employee records and maintaining compliance with recordkeeping laws
  • Create training and development plans to to enhance employee skills and knowledge
  • Develop effective and direct coaching plans for managers and assist in the development of strong, contemporary leadership skills
  • Address and resolve complex employee relations issues with sensitivity and fairness
  • Lead and develop performance management programs for all employee groups within the company
  • Maintain current knowledge of labor unions associated with the entertainment industry
  • Assist with outlining policies and protocol for the company as it relates to IATSE union groups

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and/or Human Resources, or equivalent experience required
  • Excellent computer skills required
  • Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
  • 4+ years of experience working in Human Resources preferred
  • 1+ years of management experience preferred
  • Previous HRIS experience preferred
  • Union experience is a plus
  • Working knowledge of California state and federal labor laws
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong HR Generalist background is essential to lead this Human Resources Department of one
  • A strong commitment to delivering a high level of customer and client service
  • Commitment to teamwork and creating a culture that is supportive of employees
  • Ability to maintain neutrality and create a safe environment for employees to raise concerns

Other Position Details:

  • Pay Range: $80,000 $85,000 annual salary
  • Classification: Exempt
  • Location: Burbank, CA, Onsite position
  • Parking: Provided in company lot

Pay:
$80, $85,000.00 per year
