- The Network Operations Analyst is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and supporting the organization's network infrastructure.
- This role works closely with the IT operations team to ensure critical network systems and services' availability, security, and performance.
- The Network Operations Analyst proactively identifies and resolves network-related issues to minimize disruptions and maintain service level agreements.
- Monitor network performance, bandwidth utilization, and event logs to identify potential problems.
- Perform regular maintenance tasks such as software updates, security patching, and backups on network devices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software-related issues on routers, switches, firewalls, and other network equipment.
- Implement and test network failover, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.
- Collaborate with server, security, and application teams to ensure end-to-end system health.
- Document network configurations, change management processes, and operational procedures.
- Maintain accurate network inventory records and asset management information.
- Analyze network metrics and trends to identify optimization opportunities and make recommendations.
- Provide on-call support and after-hours incident response as needed.
- Participate in the design and implementation of new network architectures and technologies.
- Assist in the development of network-related policies, standards, and best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in network administration, operations, or IT support roles.
- In-depth knowledge of network hardware, protocols, and technologies (e.g., LAN, WAN, switching, routing).
- Proficient in administering and troubleshooting common enterprise network services and security solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
- Experience with network monitoring, automation, and scripting tools (e.g., Cisco, Wireshark, Python).
- Understanding of server, storage, and IT security best practices related to network infrastructure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to document procedures and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Certification in network-related technologies (e.g., Cisco, CompTIA) is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, 24/7 IT operations environment
