    Introduction to Blue Oval SK Battery Park / Blue Oval City
    Ford and SK On are investing billions in Kentucky and Tennessee including building three state-of-the-art battery manufacturing facilities between the two campuses at Blue Oval City in Tennessee and BlueOval SK Battery Park in Kentucky. These brand-new advanced manufacturing facilities will use Ford's 100 years of automobile manufacturing expertise and SK On's 30+ years of electric vehicle battery expertise to become the world's leader in battery manufacturing. At Blue Oval SK, we will lead the transformation of the electric vehicle (EV) battery business through a partnership (Joint Venture formed by Ford and SK On) to provide products and processes to increase our customers' experience. As the future of BlueOval SK, you will help lead the battery revolution by working alongside our teams as we build the batteries required for electric vehicle business excellence.     Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Learn Battery Manufacturing and be accountable for production output, product quality and on-time delivery while minimizing unnecessary costs.
    • Help develop and implement the BOSK Production operating systems, consistent with Ford and SK best practices.
    • Resource allocation and utilization of assets
    • Commit to plant safety and ensure processes and systems are compliant on all shifts.
    • Maintain high product quality and manufacturing yield.
    • Conduct analysis and prepare reports on projects and process improvements.
    • Be a role model in driving Culture and DEI - Help develop initiatives that drive a positive People experience that's sensitive across multiple cultures.
    • Champion Ford/BOSK behaviors (Deliver It, Own It, Do Only What Matters, Bias for Action, Seek Understanding, Solve Together)

    • Help develop/sustain structure and process standardization across all 3 BOSK Plants
    • Make countermeasures for the timely completion of project goals.
    • Support new product and material introductions. Interact with the design team to coordinate the new model.

    Minimum Qualifications and Key Experiences
    • 10 years of leadership experience in manufacturing
    • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or technical field
    • Broad production experience comfortable walking the floor and requires a seasoned people leader comfortable building a team of over 2500 employees dedicated to achieving High-Volume High Quality Manufacturing goals.
    • The selected candidate should be willing to travel; to South Korea and/or other SK/BOSK plants including travel between TN and KY
    Preferred Qualifications and Key Experiences
    • Area Manager experience
    • Background in Lean Manufacturing
    • Experience with Greenfield / Startup sites
    • A collaborative leadership style is necessary to influence and build meaningful relationships with SK, JV, and Ford executives.
    • The APM will inspire and motivate our technology and engineering teams by leveraging.
    • Emerging technologies, best-in-class manufacturing systems, and safety processes as well as champion
    • Will be an emotionally intelligent leader who remains calm in ambiguous situations and can draw upon their expertise in plant start-up and manufacturing.
    • Influential communication and situational leadership skills will be necessary to motivate employees and align leaders from different backgrounds and cultures to achieve the business strategy of Ford, SK, and BOSK.
    • Strong ability to interface with plant hourly, salaried personnel, and plant management.
    • Strong Ability to teach Production System principles.
    • Competent in the use of data for decision-making.
    • Excellent leadership skills with demonstrated ability to resolve diverse problems.
    • Work well under pressure and be able to work under crisis management when necessary.
    • Ability to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
    • Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate strong leadership behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, team-building, and communication skills.
    • This individual will have experience managing high degrees of complexity in processes and communication with all levels of leadership.
    • Project management skills and strong business acumen to help deliver business requirements.
    • A collaborative leadership style is necessary to influence and build meaningful relationships with all cross-functional teams.
