We are a very active modern and not for profit senior living community conveniently located in Castro Valley.

We are in search of service minded individuals with the desire to make a positive impact on the residents that live within our community.


Position available for Part-Time Driver
. Must be available to work weekends and holidays. Must have some flexibility to cover shifts as needed through the week.**
Pay scale: $22 per hour
We are a 24/7 facility therefore one must be able to work weekends and holidays as required.

All applicants are required to complete and pass a drug screening, physical exam with tuberculosis (TB) skin test, and criminal clearance through FBI and Department of Justice.

The background search includes minor misdemeanors and DUIs.

We are currently seeking a reliable individual to join our team as a part-time Driver.

This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety transportation of our residents to various destinations, promoting their well-being and providing them with a positive experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:


  • Transport residents to appointments, conduct day trips, including scenic drives.
  • Operate the vehicles in a safe and effective manner in order to minimize the risk of injury or property damage. Must follow Department of Transportation regulations including random drug screening and follow all traffic laws.
  • Check schedule books at the reception desk daily for trips, to determine activity destination, and obtain directions and any special instructions.
  • Monitor residents as they get on and off vehicles. Be prompt and greet each resident(s) for the trip.
  • Performs any and all other functions/duties as directed by Supervisory Staff/Management.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Class C license and clean driving record required.
  • Ability to read, speak and write the English language in order to understand instructions and communicate effectively with staff.
  • Ability to read maps and follow directions (have a good sense of direction).
  • Basic knowledge of auto mechanics (adding oil, checking tire pressure, adding air and water).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

The Driver must sit for long periods and requires intense concentration, particularly in poor driving conditions. Moderate physical effort to include standing, walking, reaching and bending. Must be able to be on feet for more than two hours per day. Must be able to lift up to 30lbs on occasion.
