    Job Description

    Summary

    The Rental/Retail Accountant will be responsible for the management of retail and fixed asset accounting for Four Mountain Sports & ASPENX. They will assist the rental/retail accounting team in all Accounts Payable and accounting duties including month end close processing, data entry management and reconciliation of accounts.

    The budgeted hourly pay rate for this position is $24.50- $30. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Accounts payable ownership for ASPENX & Four Mountain Sports rental/retail department
    • Reconciles monthly vendor statements and inputs invoices into Netsuite
    • Assist with inventory counts and controls, validating General Ledger account balances against inventory management system
    • Assisting with establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies and principles
    • Owner of weekly retail reporting and analysis for stores
    • Coordinate with buyers on payment terms, pricing, quantities, etc.
    • Reconcile Purchase Orders to Receiving logs and assists with discrepancies between PO, receiver and invoice
    • Coordinate with AP team to verify payment status as needed
    • Assist with any returns or warranty issues that may occur
    • Communicate shipping needs/concerns between buyers and warehouse
    • Report Sales Tax information
    • Other duties as assigned
    Qualifications
    • Bachelors degree in accounting or equivalent work experience.
    • Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
    • Strong computer skills, proficiency in Excel
    • Professional communication skills for dealing with: employees, co-workers, management, and vendors
    • Oracle Enterprise 1 and Netsuite experience very helpful
    • Must have strong English language skills to communicate with employees, vendors and managers via phone, email or in person.
    Additional Information

    Supervision given and received
    Supervision Given: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
    Supervision Received: Works under general supervision of Finance Manager. Receives continuing or individual assignments according to supervisor's directions and may perform routine tasks. Expectations of the quality, quantity and deadlines are clearly set. Instructions, advice and assistance available as needed. Work is reviewed on demand or during scheduled check-ins.

    Ability to stand, type and sit at desk/computer for most of the work shift executing repetitive movements
    No adverse or hazardous conditions
    Not required, but preferred to be able to occasionally lift, push or pull 25 lbs. individually or with assistance (weight limits can vary according to position, but no more than 50)
