Position Title:
Exhibit AV/IT Support Technician

Position Summary:
Installs, maintains, tests, and repairs systems, exhibits, audio/visual technology, and networks. Utilizes basic technical knowledge to support IT and Audio/Visual initiatives and provide first-level technical information systems support. Resolves routine technical problems. May train employees.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates with managed service provider, technology vendors, network engineers, and corporate IT management.
  • Administer Microsoft Office, Teams, and SharePoint implementation.
  • Provide individual instruction and/or training to users on new or updated technologies.
  • Assist with system access change requests, including local user management.
  • Performs routine technical assistance and maintenance duties.
  • Maintains and updates record keeping system; may document projects and maintain user instructions.
  • Assists with tracking inventory levels of equipment and materials, obtains quotes for procurement when needed; performs data entry and maintenance of records such as, but not limited to, project documents, user instructions, general reports
and/or systems errors.

  • Performs routine technological systems support, maintenance, and testing for proper upkeep of systems; troubleshoots and resolves general system hardware, software, and network failures and conflicts.
  • Responsible for maintaining all systems, hardware, software, servers, and other devices and systems; keeping all uptodate and configured with the latest updates.
  • Assists with the review, evaluation and recommendation of solutions relating to hardware and software acquisitions and/or system updates.
  • Assists with research and development initiatives and in the implementation of new technologies.
  • Assists with the implementation of technology projects with moderate scope and impact.
  • Assists with the installation, configuration and maintenance of computers, workstations and/or other related equipment and devices.
  • Assists with VoIP telephone systems, attentive to users' needs, troubleshooting system issues, and restoring functionality.
  • Maintains currency of knowledge with respect to technology, equipment, applicable laws, regulations, standards and/or systems.
  • Performs miscellaneous jobrelated duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
High school diploma or GED; at least 2 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.


Higher education and/or experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified may be interchangeable on a year for year basis.

Some availability on nights, weekends, and holidays to support operations and conduct system maintenance outside of operating hours.


Experience and Education:

  • IT certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Network+ are highly recommended.
  • Experience with MS Active Directory and MS Azure is desired.
  • Experience working with Brightsign Media player technology desired.
  • Knowledge of current technological developments/trends in area of focus.
  • Records maintenance skills.
  • Ability to provide direction to staff and vendors to resolve technological issues.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Ability to determine computer problems and to coordinate hardware, software, and/or network solutions.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve basic computer problems.
