Green Spring, KY is a cultural and social hub in the lower Rhine region, located on the border with the Netherlands and home to approximately 53,000 residents.

We are currently seeking a full-time position as a Media and Information Services Specialist (m/f/d) to join our city library.

Part-time employment is also possible, please indicate your desired number of hours in your application.

The salary is based on pay group 6 of the Collective Agreement for the Public Service (TVöD). Participation in the Performance-Based Pay (LOB) program is possible.

Responsibilities include:

Assisting in various tasks within the city library
Participating in integrated media processing
Assisting with outreach, event planning and execution
Providing assistance and managing local loans
Performing administrative tasks for the library
Regular Saturday shifts, late shifts, and participation in evening events

Requirements:

Completed training as a Media and Information Services Specialist (m/f/d)
Library specialization or equivalent qualification
In addition to teamwork and cooperation, we expect initiative, analytical thinking, perseverance, reliability, a confident demeanor, good communication skills, and social competence
Knowledge of Windows Office programs
Driver's license is an advantage
Willingness to participate in further training and workshops
Knowledge of modern catalog systems, as well as manual dexterity and creativity, are desirable
