Reading Educational Assistant (Paraprofessional)_

Ellis School is searching for a Reading Educational Assistant (Paraprofessional ) who will assist in providing Tier 2 reading support to students in need of reading intervention. This position is a unique opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with students who need additional instruction in a small group setting. This employee will be supervised by the Principal and Assistant Principal and will confer and work directly with the reading specialist, who will provide direct instruction in the area of delivering datadriven instruction and interventions. This employee will also be expected to participate in trainings and workshops related to the Science of Reading. Outstanding interpersonal skills and a high level of professionalism are a must. Ellis School staff work to develop strong relationships not only with our students and parents but also with the community. Our educators are constantly going above and beyond to meet the diverse needs of their students._

Qualifications:
Paraprofessional II Certificate; experience working with children; experience with research-based reading instruction such as Science of Reading preferred.
