What does this role entail?

  • This position will be supporting the expansion of parent/caregiver support services
  • Develops, monitors, and adheres to project budgets contracts and/or grants with supervisor support; Ensures that all assigned budget accounts are monitored and modified, as needed, and that all assigned budget(s) meet yearend outcomes; Actively participates in reviewing seasonal trends in revenue/expenses, forecasting projections, and reviewing monthly financial reports with supervisor support
  • Maximize funding that creates opportunities for staff advancement and maximizes resources and services for clients with supervisor support; Contribute and provide program details for grant proposals, funding opportunities, advocacy, social justice initiatives, and reports
  • Utilization of and independently facilitate continuous quality improvement activities and efforts by evaluation of data collection, emerging trends from research, and incorporating clients and staff with lived experiences as the experts to enhance the work
  • Provides leadership in creating and operationalizing an evaluation plan including data collection, management, and analysis with supervisor support; Use of data to make programbased decisions
  • Manages all aspects of programs, projects, contracts, and/or grants with supervisor support; Consistently meets contract deliverables and reporting expectations ontime; Keeps up to date with program related bestpractices, regulations, and policies; Ensures and adheres to all YMCA policies & procedures
  • Respond, mitigate, deescalate crisisbased supervision with a trauma informed approach and ability to critically think during high stress environments
  • Effectively communicates and builds relationships with diverse staff, community partners, contractors, and participants; Participate in local and national leadership opportunities
  • Actively engage in staff recruitment, training, supervision, and communication through a neuro informed lens; Create opportunities for staff to expand their career interests, promote a flexible work environment to enhance personal and professional life balance, provide recognition and individualized professional development opportunities to staff; Provide leadership and decisionmaking around hiring, staff engagement, progression and relations, and workload allocation
  • Position may require the transport of participants in a YMCA vehicle to and from activities and appointments as needed; Practice nonaggressive defensive driving techniques; Operate YMCA vehicles in safe manner; Vehicle use is for YMCA business only

What do I need to bring to the table?

  • Bachelor's Degree in Child Development, Human Development, Social Work or related field or equivalent work experience required
  • At least 2 years of experience in child and adolescent development, family services, social work or related field, three years preferred
  • At least 2 years of working with grants, contracts, programs and/or projects related to child and adolescent development, underresourced communities, case management and/or professional development
  • Experience with leadership opportunities within public assistance, social services, child and youth serving organization or related communitybased organization
  • Knowledge of budget processes and monitoring
  • Knowledge or experience with evidencebased practices and intervention implementation for children, young people, and families
  • Experience with data entry, management, and analysis for reporting and continuous quality improvement
  • Ability to use technology competently including Microsoft Office products and data management systems
  • Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical incidents and the physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency situation
  • Must be available to work required evening and latenight hours, including occasional weekends and holidays
  • Licensing, state law and our funders require that applicants of critical positions within Community Support Services be fingerprinted, prior to reporting to work, and include subsequent arrest notifications.
  • Current CPR/AED, and First Aid Certification, must include Adult and Child/Infant, and must be from one of the following certifying organizations: American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or American Safety and Health Institute
