- Essential Functions:
- Fully grasp how to operate and safely handle your designated delivery vehicle.
- Tow weights of up to 10,000 lbs. (Class A certified).
- Convey goods from their origin to the intended drop-off spot.
- Deliver top-notch customer service.
- Load and arrange goods in a systematic order as directed.
- Handle unloading tasks efficiently and safely at designated sites.
- Obtain confirmations for deliveries through signatures or warehouse scans.
- Aid in planning out delivery routes.
- Stick to assigned routes and ensure timely deliveries.
- Communicate with dispatch when necessary.
- Conduct vehicle inspections before and after trips, reporting any issues promptly.
- Check weather and road conditions ahead of departure.
- Keep your vehicle clean and well-maintained.
- Report any significant maintenance or delivery-related problems to management.
- Adhere to delivery schedules and take adequate breaks.
- Maintain detailed driving and delivery records.
- Monitor and document working hours.
- Follow company policies and regulations.
- Abide by all traffic laws and adjust driving based on weather conditions.
- Comply with DOT regulations and prioritize safety always.
